Why does 10 come before 2 in A to Z? Plain alphabetical order compares characters from the left, so 1 comes before 2. Turn on Natural sorting, or use Number sorting, to order by value.
What does stable sorting mean? When two lines compare as equal, for example the same length, they stay in the order they had in your input.
How are lines without numbers treated in number sort? They are placed after all numbered lines and sorted alphabetically.
Is sorting case-sensitive? Ignoring case is on by default, so apple and Banana sort by their letters. Turn it off to treat uppercase and lowercase as different.
Is my text uploaded? No. Sorting runs in your browser.
