About PHL Tools

PHL Tools is a collection of free online tools for everyday work with text, lists, web addresses and Urdu. It is made by PHL EDU WITH AI, a bilingual Urdu and English learning platform.

What we believe a tool should be

• It works. We only publish a tool when it is built and tested. If a tool is not listed, it does not exist yet.
• It is private. Text tools run in your browser. We do not receive what you type.
• It is honest. Each tool page documents its rules and limits, including what it cannot do.
• It is free to use, with no sign-up and no account.

Why Urdu tools

Millions of Urdu speakers type with English letters. Our Roman Urdu converter turns that into Urdu script using a dictionary and spelling rules, and lets you correct any word. It is the first of several language tools we plan to build.

Credits

The Roman Urdu converter uses a list of Urdu words and how common they are, taken from the open wordfreq project (data licensed CC BY-SA 4.0). The word list used here is a derived list and is shared under the same license.

Growing the site

New tools are added to the directory only after they have been tested. Suggestions are welcome through the contact page.
