FAQs
Which Title Case rule does this use?
A common English convention: capitalise each word, but keep short articles, conjunctions and prepositions lowercase unless they begin or end the title. Style guides disagree (for example on prepositions of four or more letters), so treat the output as a good starting point and adjust to your guide.
Does it work with accented letters and other languages?
Yes for languages with letter case. It uses Unicode case rules, so é becomes É and ß becomes SS in uppercase. Scripts such as Urdu, Arabic, Hindi and Chinese have no uppercase and lowercase, so they stay as they are.
Why did Sentence case not capitalise a name?
Sentence case lowercases everything and then capitalises sentence starts. It has no dictionary of names, so capitalise names and acronyms yourself afterwards.
How are numbers and symbols handled in camelCase or snake_case?
Numbers stay attached to their word. Spaces and punctuation act as word separators and are removed in these identifier styles.
Is my text sent to a server?
No. The conversion happens in your browser, and the page does not send what you type to us or to any other service.
Is there a size limit?
Very large input is rejected above two million characters to keep your browser responsive. Split bigger files into parts.
About this tool
Case Converter changes the capitalisation and word-joining style of text. Writers use it to fix headlines typed in all capitals, editors to normalise lists, and developers to turn labels into variable names.
The conversion is deterministic: the same input and mode always give the same output. Nothing is generated by AI, and nothing is stored.
